Wow! They want to cut the budget 0.01% what is significant move by the president! And they're going to take 90 days to do it? That's the most insignificant major budget change ever made by any politician. If they were talking $100 billion it might be worth talking about what this amount could be saved by just cutting out some of the lunches and special events they setup. Why not make a politically significant move and cut out all pork barrel spending that comes from Congress?

A - 100 million
B - 1 billion
C - 7 trillion

Which one did Obama's Staff say they were going to save on TP in the Whitehouse?
(A) (B) or (C)

(A) of course. !00 is a lot bigger than 7 - isn't it?

Sit down and have a cup of Earl Grey tea Mr. President - get a piece of paper and do the math - then you'll know why we were out there on April 15th.

what is our president on??? I havent seen any responsiible leadership at all. Before giving GM or anyone else Bailouts , shouldn't He require that these companies bring back the plants, & jobs which are now in foreign countries, before lining their pockets.
I believe he should hire Joe the Plummer as a consultant ,or Financial Czar. I'm sure Joe could do better. If this is His start, for His Economic Recovery Plan, He is running in
the wrong direction. Someone Please!!! show him the way the man seems to be lost.

This is just Obama's sad attempt at countering the Tea Party rallies that the lousy mainstream Obama media failed to cover with substance and integrity.

What a joke! Obama is spending trillions but is trying to soothe the public by requesting $100 million in cuts. He is just trying to quiet the public because he was rattled by the rallies on April 15th. The sad thing is that many Americans will be fooled even though it is obvious he is trying to have it both ways. Hey mr. President and Emanuel all Americans are not stupid and recognize politics when they see it.

Instead of consolidating employee's and buying office supplies in bulk, how about reducing Government staff, salaries, hours, eliminate vacation time, 401k match, raise the cost of benefits, and eliminate bonuses and raises?

It's what we have been doing in the private sector for the last 15 - 20 years I think it's the Government does the same.

Let's see, Obama and congress just borrowed and spent about 1.2 TRILLION dollars through a bill than none of them had read and don't really know where all that money went. Now Obama, in response to the tax day protests, wants to make 100 million in cuts. Sorry, CNN but I just can't get excited about that.
