More Riots in France

Posted in Media Bias,World by Ryan on the November 28th, 2007

I glanced at msNBC.com and noticed an AP article about some recent riots in France. In a repeat from the 2005 riots, it is minorities, Muslim and African immigrants, that are the perpetrators.

Despite the fact that this entire episode, like the one in 2005 is perpetrated in the name of race, the AP journalist thought that fact, the one about it being Muslim and African minorities, was only worthy of the 5th paragraph.

An Inconvenient Price

Posted in U.S.,World by Ryan on the October 13th, 2007

If Al Gore was worthy of a Nobel Prize, he wouldn’t be selling his movie for the same over-priced nonsense as Disney Classics. $20 on Amazon.com? Get real. Al Gore is not out to save the world. “Climate warriors” are so wrapped up in their own euphoria over saving the earth they fail to recognize their own hypocrisy. Unless Gore is donating all his proceeds from this film to actual, proven environmental measures, he deserves no more lauding than your average Hollywood star.

And They Say Obama Sounds Naive

Posted in War on Terror,World by Ryan on the August 4th, 2007

While Hillary and others criticize Barack Obama for his comments about meeting with leaders from Iran, Cuba, Venezuela, Syria and North Korea, another candidate is making bizarre comments.

Tom Tancredo suggests we threaten to attack Mecca in the event of another terrorist attack.

Darfur a victim of climate change?

U.N. chief: Darfur a victim of climate change

Seems a rather far reaching claim.  Perhaps students aren’t doing as well on tests in the US because of climate change.  They just get drained playing soccer outside in that heat during recess…..?

“Almost invariably, we discuss Darfur in a convenient military and political shorthand — an ethnic conflict pitting Arab militias against black rebels and farmers,” Ban wrote in The Washington Post. “Look to its roots, though, and you discover a more complex dynamic.”

Sure, climate change may be affecting the situation the people there face, but the problem is in fact a “military and political” problem.  There are numerous other reasons for conflict besides drought and bad weather.  Learning how to resolve those problems without violence…well, that would be the goal.

Lets figure you solve Global warming and we return the earth to a Democrat chosen temperature range.  Not only does that not alone solve whatever has driven people to kill in Sudan, but what do we do when the Sundanese start fighting over cattle herding rights?  Try to solve some sort of cattle problem so more Sudanese can have their own cattle?  No.  Civility and the rule of law must come before solving real or imagined causes for conflicts.

Hope in Iran?

While Iran is often protrayed as terribly anti-American, it encourages hope to read articles like this one at msNBC.com

While their Government is defying the world and pursuing a course that could invite invasion and such, it seems like there may be a lot of younger people there that aren’t quite as crazy and perhaps actually respect the United States.

Iran: A Growing Problem

Posted in Iraq,War on Terror,World by Ryan on the February 13th, 2007

Not only did the Holocaust not happen in Ahmadinejad’s mind, but America is only full of lies!
The US should come down hard on Iran. If they are messing with our troops, we should mess them up. Way to go Bush.
This kind of Iran has little to offer the world. They simply threaten to heighten their terror if provoked.

The Idiocy Continues to Spew Forth From Iran

Posted in World by Ryan on the December 13th, 2006

President Ahmadinejad recently addressed Iran’s conference on the Holocaust with more disturbing anti-Israeli rhetoric.

What is with this guy? Why all the idiotic irony with regard to freedom of speech? Why the projection of idiocy on the international stage? Either he is actually crazy, or he is straight evil and is plotting an actual attack upon Israel.
