CNN’s Borger Sums Up Obama

Without intending to, CNN’s Gloria Borger completely sums up what many have said about Obama’s presidency.  That being that it would essentially unite the Republican party like nothing else could.  (my emphasis added below)

The real reason that the GOP preference is growing is the new support from independent voters, who now favor GOP candidates by 45 percent to 36 percent, according to Gallup. Before Obama’s election, they were with the Democrats. Back in July, independents were split but not anymore. And all of that progress for the Republicans, for doing nothing.

Obama’s excessive domestic agenda and goals are apparently not shared by a majority of Americans, even Democrats in congress.  A fact lost to Borger.  Republicans haven’t had to do a thing.  Exactly.  Obama is doing it all for them.

All the while, you — the “serious” opposition — continue to intone to the public “we want to work with him, of course.”

Of course, you don’t.

Gosh, where have I heard that before?  Oh right!  President Obama, who regularly states that, “The time for bickering is over.”  Translation: Do it my way, because I’m not doing it your way, so you’re going to do it my way.

And they’re surprised that the going has gotten tough?  I’m sort of amused that a nationally broadcast political analyst is pointing fingers at the opposite party for Obama’s troubles in Washington.
