I think Mitt’s biggest hurdles right now are his record of flip-flopping on issues like abortion and (in the eyes of the public) gay rights. And why did he feel the need to exaggerate his love for hunting? He’s an impressive candidate – far more so than any other out there except maybe Barack Obama; he doesn’t need to try cheap tricks to impress people, don’t you think?

I agree that the first thing that disappoints me about him is the fact that he has changed his position so drastically on the critical issue of abortion.

However, the hunting thing is hard to put my finger on. I can’t tell from different news stories if he shot varmint his whole life or only twice. If he never really was a “hunter”, then what makes “official” hunters’ comments about his definition of what a hunter is relevant? He didn’t even know what he was talking about. He was an overly prideful “pest controller.”
